Ser Altar

Tending To Your Inner Altar Retreat

Valle de bravo, mexico

September 12th-17th 2025

Ser Altar

Life moves at its own pace for each of us. Tuning into your personal rhythm—and appreciating the medicine of your own lived experience—is what Ser Altar is all about. We all dance with daily living in our own individualized patterns. Patterns we have acquired throughout our many life times on earth. Sometimes we're just keeping our heads above water, overwhelmed and depleted. Other times we're riding the waves with ease and trust. Most often though, we vacillate between these two bookends, navigating habituated patterns. Let’s create expansion to shift from merely surviving to soulfully thriving, reconnecting with your physical self, subtle body, and the essence that makes you, uniquely you.

During this immersive experience, you will be guided and nourished by ceremonies, remedies, movement, intentional rest, and rituals that ignite “Ser Altar” -  tending your inner altar. A journey of dedication and commitment to yourself. Exploring "community cultural wealth" and tapping into our personal funds of  knowledge.

We will embody nourishment from the inside out, making connections to the wisdom and autonomy of ourselves and our community.

Your Hosts

SER ALTAR- Tending Your Inner Altar experience is borne from Pao and Ranmalee’s deep belief in dedicating our purpose to nourishing ourselves so we are able to nourish others. SER ALTAR is a call to action. We invite you to join us on this exquisite journey of Tending Your Internal Altar.

Paola

Paola teaches vinyasa in Long Beach, CA. Through mindful movement and meditative action, Paola creates a space for yogis to drop into their mind, body and soul. Her flows are inspired by cultivating a sense of grounding, peace, and bliss. She incorporates asanas in a way that stimulates your senses, fostering connection with the subtle energetic body, keeping a warm and mindful vibe in class. Paola aims for you to leave class with your heart feeling lifted, rejuvenated, and supported. Flow with Pao and embody a sense of freedom by practicing as our unapologetic selves. Deepest gratitude to share directly from the heart within the community and connecting with more radiant souls.

Ranmalee

Ranmalee Perera specializes in multilingual education and language planning policy in the United States and South Asia. Her work focuses on shifting the socratic educational paradigm to one that is deeply embedded in cultural humility and valorizing community cultural wealth of indigenous and under-represented populations in educational spaces.

Her dedication to reframing indigenous and native wisdom invariably guided her to deepening her practice and knowledge of Vedic traditions and the language of Āyurveda and Yoga. She furthered her commitment to these practices by establishing "seva yoga" and āyurvedic food delivery networks among the diverse communities of Southern California and Veracruz, Mexico. She continues to host Pançakarma and āyurvedic life-style gatherings in United States, Mexico, and Sri Lanka. She is a committed Raja yoga āsan and prānayāma practitioner with decades of experience guiding  yoga āsana and āyurvedic education in Sinhala, English, and Spanish.

Ranmalee is the author of Roots and Rivers; a collection of poetry and vignettes, published in the Spring 2021 and continues to dedicate her life to the ideals of public welfare and community. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Applied Theology at the Ramakrishna Seminary/Kālí Mandir, California.
